2005–2011 — SickKids Hospital
MEG Technologist — Department of Functional Neuroimaging
I worked in the Department of Functional Neuroimaging under Dr. Margot Taylor. I began as a programmer and quickly shifted into data acquisition, analysis and paradigm design. It was here that I learned much of what I know about systems, data reduction and statistics.

2012–2022 — Travis Mills Rentals & Construction
Once returning home to Nova Scotia, my desire for hands-on work took off. I began renovating and refinancing four- and five-unit buildings, and my understanding of permitting, borrowing and delivering complex projects grew quickly.

In 2019, I took on a much larger challenge: a 48-unit residential development. The project was ultimately successful and marked another major shift in my professional life.

2022–Present — COG Developments
Partner
COVID took its toll on my personal life, as it did for so many, and I found myself in need of a total redo. I took on a number of partnerships, but one emerged as the winner and COG Developments was born.
Governed by three partners with a two-out-of-three voting rule, COG Developments has built a variety of housing, municipal and commercial projects. We have also started and acquired operating companies that align with COG's broader mission of community development and financial sustainability.
